Pay per call in USDC with x402

An AI agent or a script can create a tracked load and read the driver's live position without an account or an API key. Each call is paid from a wallet in USDC over x402: HTTP 402 plus a signed USDC transfer.

How a paid call works

  1. Send the request with no credentials. The answer is 402 with one offer per network in accepts[].
  2. Sign the offer for your network for exactly that amount.
  3. Repeat the request with the X-PAYMENT header. The response carries X-PAYMENT-RESPONSE with the transaction hash or Solana signature.

The load belongs to the paying wallet: only that wallet can read or cancel it. Per-wallet daily limits apply.

From an MCP client

The MCP server @suverselabs/pingpoint-mcp can pay per call itself: give it PINGPOINT_WALLET_KEY_FILE instead of an API key.

Full request and response formats, error codes and the OpenAPI spec are in the docs.
