PingPoint guides — live load tracking for freight brokers
How PingPoint features work, and sourced notes on cargo theft, fraud and shipper visibility.
$0.65 per load · $0.02 per position read over the API · live map and tracking link in the cabinet free · no subscription
- Load tracking for small freight brokers: $0.65 per load, no contract
Live GPS tracking on carriers you don't control for $0.65 per load. No subscription, no seats, no minimum. The driver installs the free PingPoint Driver app from a text message.
- Load tracking MCP server for AI agents: create loads, read live truck position
@suverselabs/pingpoint-mcp gives an AI agent tools to create freight loads, read live driver position and trip stats. $0.65 per load, $0.02 per read, from a prepaid balance.
- Replace check calls with live GPS tracking: $0.65 per load
Instead of calling the driver for a location, see the truck on a live map with geofence arrivals and departures and e-mail alerts for late, no-signal and long-dwell loads.
- Shipper tracking link: live truck map with status, origin and destination
Every PingPoint load has a tracking link for your shipper or receiver: live map, status, origin and destination. Opens in any browser. Tracking links are kept out of search engines.
- Automatic load statuses from geofences: 3,200 m zones, arrival and departure times
PingPoint moves a load PLANNED → AT_PICKUP → IN_TRANSIT → AT_DELIVERY → DELIVERED from the driver's GPS, using 3,200 m geofences around each stop. Statuses cannot be typed in by hand.
- Late, no-signal and long-dwell alerts: e-mail after 20 min silence or 60 min at a stop
PingPoint raises LATE when the delivery window passes, NO_SIGNAL after 20 minutes without a position, and LONG_DWELL after 60 minutes inside a stop zone — by e-mail and webhook.
- Create a load from a rate confirmation PDF: Quick Fill in the PingPoint cabinet
Upload a rate confirmation PDF on the New Load screen and PingPoint fills the form — stops, rate, equipment, weight — for you to review. Parsing is free; the load costs $0.65.
- Load tracking webhooks: status, exception and delivery events signed with HMAC-SHA256
PingPoint pushes load.created, load.updated, status.changed, load.completed and exception events to your HTTPS endpoint, signed with HMAC-SHA256. Self-serve in the cabinet, no extra cost.
- Trip stats for a delivered load: distance, duration, speeds and GPS coverage for $0.02
GET /v1/agent/loads/{loadNumber}/trip-stats returns a summary of the load's whole GPS track — distance, duration, average and max speed, hard braking, highway share, coverage — for $0.02.
- US cargo theft in 2026: 547 incidents and $230.1M losses in Q3, fictitious pickups 25% of thefts
Verisk CargoNet: 547 supply-chain crime incidents in Q3 2026 (down 33% YoY) but $230.1M losses; $718.9M through September (+39%). Fictitious pickups rose to about 25% of incidents.
- Double brokering and freight fraud in 2026: $75,000 broker bond rule, Motus registration, authority sales banned
FMCSA's broker financial responsibility rule took effect Jan 16 2026 ($75,000 floor, suspension if not replenished). Motus replaced legacy registration in May 2026. Selling MC authority risks revocation.
- Shipper visibility in 2026: 90% tracking compliance bar at MacroPoint, AI agents at project44 and FourKites, Motive pulls IPO
MacroPoint's 2026 Top Carriers needed 1,000+ tracked loads at 90%+ compliance. 80% of Descartes survey respondents plan more TMS spend with visibility a priority. project44 bought LunaPath.ai; FourKites launched Loft; Motive withdrew its IPO.
How PingPoint connects. You sign up with email, Google or GitHub and start with a $10 credit. The driver gets a text message with a link and installs the free PingPoint Driver app (
iPhone,
Android) — no driver account. The carrier and the dispatcher don't need to set anything up.
